Mother Mary & Jesus Child Icon

Made by hand using the traditional technique of lithography, this icon is a statement piece for the home. Depicting Mother Mary with the child Jesus, the piece highlights the sacred relationship between mother and child. Jesus' hand placed upon Mary's cheek is one of comforting her sadness, in her knowing of what is to come. 

The icon features an alluring colour palette of soft earthy hues. It has a lovely crackle effect that gives the piece a rustic, old-world appearance.

Measures approximately 37cm tall, 17.5cm wide and 3.5cm deep.

Please note the plain wooden component of the icon may vary slightly in colour in each piece, due to the texture of the wood and its originality in being hand painted. The wood is derived from the populus alba tree.
